For the believers, God provides a convenientanswer to all these questions except for the answers regarding God itself. Thefollowing are some of the general arguments for the existence of God.The first argument comes from the theory of intention there are orders in theuniverse which cant be occurring by sheer chance. Secondly, the existence ofGod explains the arguments regarding the efficient causality as the worldexhibits slap-up causal sequences, something had to start it all up. Thirdlybut not the least, God p rovides an answer to the question of the origin of lifeand its destination after death. ( For the pastime of convenience, we shall borrowsome theological ideas from Christianity, the Christian God, to exemplify ourcomparisons.) As an example, God is the creator of all, and there is a place inheaven, a farming of God, for those who have faith in God. AlthoughDescartes embraces quite a grand statement on the issues of God, I felt that hisbeliefs were biased towards his own perception and lacked evidence in provingthat God exists to the point beyond reasonable doubt.I believe that neither Descartes nor modern sc ience have been able tosuccessfully prove whether God exists or not.Whats really important, no matter whether such a being exists or not, isthat the political orientation of God has certainly existed throughout the history of man.Moreover, the power of this ideology of God has proven to be overwhelming amongthe believers who have faith in its religion. Even for the non-believers or socalled atheists, the ideology of God has an effect and/or an influence on themin one way or another.
