As a male growing up with a single mom that worked hard for equality, I understand firsthand the struggle that some women ar met with. I find the leadership tactics of women prime ministers and heads of state to guard patterns that have emerged for women engaging in political positions in different section of the globe, when it comes to wealth, approach and communication relations. In addition, I will be making a distinction between the leadership techniques of women politicians within conventional societies with those directing resistance actions, as a result having a diverse resources and limitations in the way of organization and communication opportunities that are obtainable. in that locationfore, this wallpaper will also confer the respon sibility of ethical investment as a source for female opposition leaders, in specific in undemocratic framework.Female Heads of Government and the Use of ForceThere is a great significance of the connection involving a high percentage of women in the legislative body and reduction in military expenditure, sex does affect this. Though, it is the widespread number of women in government that have a larger impression on military expenses than the sex of the particular leader. Just as the resource of one African American president, has not ended a history of racism and tumultuous hunt down relations, one female in office cannot make a notably change in the patterns of the administration. It will take an increase in the women legislative body of government that we will confirm whether there is a progression in the direction of reduced militarism. Gallagher (1993) projected three constructive conclusions of more women coming into the political arena more collaborative policies, more dip lomatic strategies and directives, and more democratic viewpoints and ideals within the government.

Herr Samsa Is Content Essay Example for Free

Herr Samsa Is Content EssayIn Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, Gregor Samsa, the main de nonation turns into an insect. Although many would argue that this transformation is literal, I would argue that Kafka uses it as a metaphor or whatever other form of symbol. If my theory is right, this metaphor is used as a means of portraying the dehumanisation and hence insanity of Gregor Samsa caused by the intense stress and demands of his daily job that he worries about so much. I also believe that Kafka uses the particular case of Gregor to represent a whole generation of workers that wholly fear the same fate. Herr Samsa, Gregors founder, in particular fears this and having seen what he fears most in his son, he becomes violent and self-asserting towards him withaltually delivering him a slow, gradual death. To support this argument, we find out that, even out front the actual transformation, Gregor behaves strangely with regards to his work stu dying train timetables for exampl e. It is for this reason that I have decided to carry on with this idea. With Gregor dying at the end of the novella, I decided to use this metaphor of dehumanisation again and apply it to other wholeness of the workers of the same generation as Gregors his sisters boyfriend that she has found since the Samsa family left their home to start a new life.In order for my adaptation of Kafkas extended metaphor to be in(predicate), I have had to use up his style of writing, something that is very particular to Kafka. Kafka uses long sentences yet keeps the novella moving at quite a fast pace. This is because he pays great attention to detail and turns each detail into something significant. Despite this, he is not particularly descriptive concerning the settings that he has chosen in Metamorphosis. This has the particular effect of rendering the scenes of Metamorphosis bountiful of action and gripping for the reader. This is what I have tried to apply in my extension of Kafkas fanta stic tale.Grete watched her father open the doorsill, pull his feet across the mat, throw his overcoat off his shoulders and drop it on the banister. He took some(prenominal) his young womans shoulders, grind at her for a moment with an expression that could only be associated with pride and then gently kissed her forehead. He then moved on to the kitchen, Grete in his footsteps. one time there, he placed his hand on his wifes shoulder, squeezed it, asked her what was for supper and, in turn, kissed her.Herr Samsa presently moved to the living board and with a pleasant sigh of relief he settled into an armchair and watched in amusement as Grete gazed fixedly at the clock on the wall counting fling off the seconds. At precisely five, the doorbell rang and Grete let out a little squeal of delight before glancing sheepishly at her father and rushing off to answer it. The same routine had not changed one bit for the last two months yet Herr Samsa could not complain. He knew that five was the time when he could consecrate himself the pleasure of watching his daughters face light up, making her even more beautiful reminding him of the attractive and successful cleaning woman she was turning into. He had never been happier.Simple and polite nevertheless pleasant conversation came from the kitchen a mixture of questions, exclamations and quiet laughter. Following this, Grete entered with Franz who greeted Herr Samsa with a gentle inclination of his head.Ah Franz my son How are you? And how are things at work? asked Herr Samsa.Well, as you know sir, not too well Im afraid. We all have a stupid amount of work to get through and I, for one, can hardly cope. The only thing that keeps a smile on my face is the prospect of coming to visit your daughter each evening.Grete projected up at him adoringly and smiled before turning to her father with a face that begged no more talk of work presss. pass judgment this, Herr Samsa looked at them two.Very well. Off you go.Thank you, sir replied Franz and he eagerly scuttled behind the beautiful young woman who led him to the parlour.Herr Samsa got up and poured himself a small glass of schnapps and settled back down into the inspiration of his armchair. As he let his eyes close, he reflected upon how much better life was now. Even passing game back to work didnt bother him in the least. He felt healthier and fitter than he had been in a long time and he was now always able to join in with the family walks on Sundays. Franz also came with them. The four of them would walk with their arms linked, talk and laughing with a spring in their step. thereof half an hour passed very happily for Herr Samsa before he was called to join the rest of his family at the dinner party table. Grete was rather sullen right throughout the meal. Her usual manner of vigorously attacking her food was not there. Eventually, whilst Gretes mother was in the kitchen, clearing the table, he asked her what the matter was . She dismissed the question with another intense glance at the table so her father thought it best to leave the matter alone. The next evening, the standard atmosphere at the dinner table was tense once again. Grete insisted on glaring sullenly at her plate. Again, Herr Samsa asked her what the matter was whilst his wife was busy in the kitchen. Once more, she tried to ignore him but this time, her father insisted and she lifted her face, cover in tears, before answering.Hes exhaustedI cant stand it anymorehe puts on a brave facebut with me She desperately tried to delay herself but burst into tears. Frau Samsa, who had come back into the room, put her arm round her and encouraged her to go on. Gretes parents watched, discompose and shocked, for this was the first time they had seen her cry since theyd decided to restart their lives. Seeing the discomfort in her parents faces, Grete took a qabalistic breath and started again. He doesnt complain about it but when were alone, he talks about nothing but work, almost as if he doesnt know how to talk about anything else. Just last night, instead of talking to me, he spent two whole hours studying a train timetable And hes developed a rhythmical twitchspasms every now and then. Hes not reallymy Franzanymore. The following evening, nothing changed. As always, Herr Samsa was met in the hallway by his daughter whom he embraced before making his way to the kitchen, in order to greet his wife. As Grete waited for the clock to advance five, she had the same yearning look on her face. But it faded and was replaced with a frown because as the manpower hit five she comprehend a far-off cry. She glanced at her father but he evidently hadnt heard it and so she continued waiting. She was silently surprised that Franz hadnt turned up yet, despite the fact that it wasnt even a minute past yet. As she continued waiting, now perched on the arm of one of the sofas, she heard another cry, closer this time and it resembled m ore a scream.Yet again, Herr Samsa had not noticed but he was watching Grete with amusement as she visibly became more and more nervous as the minutes went by. Once again, a scream came from up the road. This time, it was accompanied by the smashing of a window. Grete rushed to the living room window and pressed herself up against the window to see what was going on. The last cry had even managed to cook her father and he too had jumped out of the comfort of his chair to see what was going on. Both wore anxious looks upon their faces and as more shouts of terror approached their house, Frau Samsa joined them from the kitchen, wiping the backs of her hands in her apron as she walked.Wheres Franz? she asked immediately.A look of horror crossed Gretes face as it occurred to her that the angry manifestation outside and Franzs lateness could be linked. She tried desperately to see what was going on through the living room window but the angle wasnt broad enough. A couple of flying ston es and an apple came into her field of vision and with that she rushed to the front door with both her parents close behind her.It was as she grabbed the cold brass handle to pull the door open that she bring in what this was. She remembered the conversation last night at the table and, sure enough, as she hastily poked her head through the door and looked down the street, she clasped her heart. Franz was there sure enough, scuttling desperately down the street, followed by an angry mob yelling at him in disgust and flinging stones of hatred at him. Before her parents were able to see anything, she ran back in, bolted the door and sunk to the floor.Bibliography Metamorphosis, Franz Kafka, translated by Malcolm Pasley, Penguin, 2000

Curriculum Alignment Research Suggests That Alignment Can Improve Student Achievement Essay Example for Free

plan Alignment look into Suggests That Alignment Can advance Student Achievement EssayAlignment is a match between two categories and Curriculum describes what gets taught (Squires, 2012). Curriculum alignment attempts to put to maximum effect the relationship among three categories namely the taught plan, the written curriculum, and the test curriculum. It shows how the preceding(prenominal) can be used to improve student achievement thus explaining how the design for a curriculum can be reorient to state standards and state special(prenominal)ations for effective instructional process (Squires, 2012).This article serves to allow for a backup into a curriculum design that makes sure what is tested gets taught. In order to align the state tests (test curriculum) to state standards (written curriculum), Marzano came up with a benchmark for comparing all state and national professional association standards to each other and created a website where the same could be achieved for instance, Archives (www.aligntoachieve.com) provided four criteria for alignment of textbooks to standards that ar content, performance, level of difficulty and balance and range. From in a higher place we also find there is constraint in testing time where only a limited number of concepts can be assessed effectively (Squires, 2012).From (Third International Mathematics and Science Studies) TIMSS study findings, it is significant to flyer that the content of a countrys curriculum affects student achievement and that for student learning, the extent of opportunities to learn will depend on the time the teacher spends on the topic which translates to greater performance. A district must control time and content covered at a specific time if the results are to improve of which it is the function of the curriculum. The districts can assist in aligning, structuring, implementing and assessing the curriculum (Squires, 2012).ReferenceSquires, D. A. Immigrants may likewise anxiety reaction economic growth and provides better lifestyles to those enter the country illegally. It is noticeable thitherfore that illegal immigration has both negative and positive effects (Yoshida, 2000). This raises a very fundamental question whether those found as criminals for be in a country illegally with no valid documents should be judged considering the difficult times caused by the pressures of unemployment, lack of homes, poverty, disillusion, lack of education and low- compensable jobs in their country of origin (Daugherty Kammeyer, 1995). As initially stated, illegal immigration causes shortage of labor in their home country because they prefer going to the developed countries. This go out ultimately affect the economic growth of the country negatively because there is no labor force to get under ones skin the economy. Lack of labor provide force the staffing agencies of tho se countries to set out the minimum job requirements so that they can be able to get the required employees to work for them. This lowers the credibility of the recruitment agencies and the human imaginativeness managers who are mixed in global staffing. This may make a country to have poorly qualified staffs that do shoddy work and this leave alone lead to poor proceeding of the economy and ultimate increase in poverty.Illegal immigration promotes brain drain a situation where the best knowledgeable staff and amend move to other developed countries to look for greener pastures for the careers. This result therefore affects the process of recruitment and selection in a negative way (Haines Rosenblum, 1999) Illegal immigration also has a direct effect on the tax-based resources due to the burden exerted by the illegal immigrant. In the joined States, all people who work there are taxed by the federal government. such money obtained as taxed are later used to rectify other p ublic facilities among them hospitals, schools among others. However, the government does not have clear-cut measures to ensure that those being treated in such(prenominal) hospitals or using other facilities are the true citizens. This bequeath therefore lead to exerting excessively much pressure on the resources and may ultimately lead to provision of poor quality services to the genuine citizens. This may have a negative impact of on the labor productiveness and the team spirit of the workers. When this happens, the work through with(p) by the citizens may not be well done basically because their flirt with has been undermined. This will later make staffing encounter a lot of difficulties in trying to identify the best employees to be promoted since this is always done on the basis of customer performance. The change organizations or firms may have to use other terms and methods to carry out various staffing processes and this will obviously taint the reputation of the recrui tment agency since staffing ethics may not have been properly followed (Daugherty Kammeyer, 1995). This clearly indicates that illegal immigration by straining the resources has a direct impact on the performance of worker. It is clear that illegal immigration leads to an influx of workers to the country of destination like the United States. This will lead to a greater supply of jobs in the market more than it can be absorbed or taken in by the recruitment agencies who work on behalf of companies who are in need of employees. This will lead to the distortion of the law of demand and supply for labor in the market. This may happen in two ways the for the first time scenario is a situation where the immigrants provide cheap labor for whoever needs it. It is obviously certain that some firms and companies may lay off the workers in preference of the cheap labor in the market.By doing so, they will not have followed any ethics that entails the staffing procedures. The act of dismissin g qualified workers with preference of employing those with lower qualifications does not entail any staffing ethics. This shows therefore how illegal immigration may negatively affect the process of recruitment and selection (LeMay, 2007). The other way in which the law of supply and supply is distorted happens especially when more qualified workers immigrate illegally to a country. This will force companies or firms to lay off its workers in preference of the more qualified workers. This automatically makes the companies to lower the minimum wage so as to indirectly discourage workers and some will later resign thus creating opportunities for the cheap labor. When they resign, employment opportunities are created and the human resource managers will rush for the cheap labor. When they do so, they staffers and recruitment agencies may not necessarily follow the correct staffing or recruitment procedures and in the long run, may negatively affect the reputation of global human resou rce and the correct process of staffing. This indicates that illegal immigration is a vice that must be avoided and checked at all cost (Adler Gielen, 2003). The United States has registered an increased crime in the border between it and Mexico due to a lot of immigrant who enter the two neighboring states. In most of those who enter illegally believe that peeled Mexico is start up of Mexico itself and some even engage in cross-border crime and drug-trafficking as they try to enter the United States. Any crime and a rise of the same will obviously affect adversely the productivity of the citizens who have previously been enjoying the serenity of the working environment. It is important to note that the whole process of staffing is not done over-night. Some processes like promotion and selection may require the monitoring of the employee performance over a certain catamenia of time. It may therefore happen that the period to review the employee performance was when there was ram pant crime within the place of work or within the vicinity. The performance the employee at that time will obviously be poor and should any of the process of staffing be mandatory then the rules and regulation of such a process may not have to be necessarily followed. This therefore directly points out that the process of staffing is change by illegal immigration due to the creation of crime (Haines Rosenblum, 1999). The existence of illegal immigrants in an economy makes it hard for the U. S government to raise the minimum wage required of any worker. It has been noted that the illegal immigrants on most occasions engage in menial jobs like maids and nannies where most Americans are not ready to offer their services. A further complicated scenario is when they work in industries and compensable cheaply payment for the services rendered. In the event that the genuine residents of the United States demand any increase in their minimum wage, it would be rhetoric to do so because some cheap labor is on hand(predicate) within the same market. Since this is part of the staffing process, such happenings may put staffers in a tight reproach because those who would trust to increase their revenue earnings will not at any time do so. They will therefore have failed to perform their duties of genuine staffing procedures and this may encourage development of bogus recruitment agencies that may not really care about the ethics of staffing. This will therefore affect the process of staffing negatively and this may further affect the performance of workers and a further effect on the entire human resource (Dale, 2003). Illegal immigration may lead to emergence of unscrupulous employers who may not pay them well. Since the immigrants are consciously aware of their crime of being illegally in the country, they virtually have no voice to press for compensation of damages due to injuries met at work. This is because of the fear that they may be traced, tracked and taken back to their country of origin. The workers are therefore left to perish with their own perils since their employers unaccompanied want to profit themselves out of cheap labor. The workers in this case are not able to withdraw any compensation that may arise due to the tasks or work that they do. When such things happen, it is not usually part of staffing or human resource to deny the workers what is genuinely theirs and this may greatly affect the reputation of the staffing companies who may have been involved in the process of selection of the workers in question. This may further affect the compensation of other workers and the eventual work performance (LeMay, 2007).It is important to note that, workers are entitled to link workers and trade unions which may in turn help them in solving problems or do its that arise as it concerns their work. However, it is necessary to understand that workers are able to join such unions when they earn a certain minimum wage which may not be pr actically possible owing the fact that the illegal immigrants are in abundance and law of demand dictates that they be paid less so that the entire pool of workers may be absorbed. This therefore raises a problem of lack of enough voice to articulate for their rights and this affects even the genuine residents of a country. This is because their will be a seemingly large number of workers but when it comes to those who are dully represented a problem arises. This will therefore be negatively affecting the performance of the genuine immigrants and may influence the way their employers handle them. Any friction that may arise between the employer and employee may affect the work performance and any handling that does not favor the welfare of the worker will be unethical and against the basic expectations from a human resource manager. This will ultimately affect the process of staffing on one way or other (OECD, 2000). Illegal immigrants have their own problems in their home country an d there is a possibility that they may transfer such problems to the host country. such(prenominal) problems may include contagious diseases, overpopulation leading to traffic jam and infection of the genuine residents of a country. This will affect the productivity of workers and this may force the human resource managers to hire other workers to replace those who have fallen sick from infection. As it is usual, the process of recruitment and selection is always carried out after stipulated period of time by the human resource managers and not any arbitrary time. It therefore means that the affected conjunction may be forced to re-adjust their schedule so as to replace the sick employees. it is apparently clear that during such time, the companies are desperately in need of quick labor force to replace the on that is missing (Adler Gielen, 2003). As they do this, it would be absurd to think that the process of recruitment and selection is properly followed and this affects the ove rall process of staffing. The negative effects of illegal immigration can not really be exhaustibly discussed. The other effect includes emergence of individuals who undertake the crime of providing illegal document (visas) to the illegal immigrants. Such people may end up providing documents to illegal immigrants who end up being terrorists who carry out attacks to the harmless citizens. Such attacks like that of 9/11 were carried by illegal immigrants and this has greatly affected the job market in different ways. First is the fact that it has led to the victimization of people of a particular race or origin.Such people may be subjected to unnecessary scrutiny by the authorities thus discouraging them from searching for jobs in the U. S market (Seltser, et al 1998). This may be an extra task to the recruitment agencies that carry out recruitment and selection of employees and may not be part of what they are supposed to do. This will ultimately affect the quality of staffing proce sses undertaken by global human resource managers who may be dictated to follow recruitment procedures that does not correlate with the staffing ethics. It therefore links illegal immigration, terrorism and staffing (Djajic, 2001).The second effect of terrorism linked to illegal immigration is that, the nation may end up losing personnel and expatriates needed to drive the economy. This usually happens when the country become too obsessed in fighting terrorism. People may also flee from a country for fear of further terrorist attacks and this will reduce the number of qualified employees that are needed. This may force the global human resource managers to lower the qualifications of the needed job so as to acquire the necessary people required to run the economy. This will ultimately distort the common professional techniques of carrying out interviewing and appraising of candidates which is essential for any recruitment process. It will render it hard to get the best people with th e correct mental capabilities, motivation and prospective potentials. The other problem that arises due to illegal immigration is tax evasion and loan and mortgage default. This is because the immigrants do not have identification documents that may help in tracing them and eventual lose the money and also tax.The effect does not end there because those employees of the bank may lose their jobs or incur loses themselves since it is anticipate that they should have taken thorough vetting of customers before releasing any funds to them. If this happens it may indicate recruitment process may not have been sufficiently done to acquire the best employees who cannot fall for the fraudsters or the defaulters in this particular case. This may require the organization, bank affected to recheck their methods of recruitment and selection in the future. It may also result in the loss of credibility of the recruitment agency that may have been used by the bank to acquire its employees. This wil l therefore influence the overall mode of staffing (LeMay, 2007). Despite the negatives results of illegal immigration however, there are positive aspects of the illegal immigration to the economy. The most obvious one is the provision of cheap labor to the industries and agriculture. Most immigrants who come from poor countries do menial jobs like maids, cultivating for the flowers and other jobs that residents of the United States may see it necessary for them to do so.This labor when also provided in farms is relatively cheaper than that of the qualified people who reside in that country. This will ultimately minimize the cost of ware an ultimately raises the profits margins of the company or the farmer thus influencing growth positively (OECD, 2000). In relation to staffing, it will be recognise that no formal recruitment is done when acquiring such form of cheap labor. This therefore shows that, illegal immigration has the positive effect of reducing the cost of recruitment a nd selection. This will reduce the cost of production and an overall rise in the revenue of the employer. As has been stated earlier, most of the illegal immigrants who are employed prefer cash payment for their work that they have done than the use of credit cards. This is simply because they want to avoid being tracked since it is very possible with the use of credit cards. The cash payment will increase cash flow in the retail business because they will make most of their purchases there. gain in cash flow will mean that the business in question has made larger amount of sales and it leads to greater revenues and profits. The firm that has made profits may think of expanding its premises and this creates employment opportunities to other people who have skills in the market. The issue of staffing arises here since recruitment agencies may be called in to carry out the exercise and will be required to do so with diligence as to ensure that the best employees are chosen and that th ey will be able to serve in a better manner that will enhance the profitability and service delivery. It is clearly indicated that cash paid to the illegal immigrants directly or indirectly influence the employment opportunities for other workers in the economy (Djajic, 2001).Immigrants who move to another country though illegally provide a larger market for the locally produced goods. This is because their living standards will improve compared to their home country. This will obviously spur economic growth of the entire nation with increase in the level of growth. This includes creation of a variety of job opportunities to all the people in that country. A further positive aspect that illegal immigration may bring is the purchase of real estate by the immigrants. They may also buy vehicles and this will enhance the growth of the insurance industry.Growth will obviously include the increase in the number of workers in the industry in question and this will influence staffing just a s discussed in the cases studied initially. Illegal immigration is a complex issue but we cannot assume that it has no solution (Brings, 1984). The government of the United States and that of Mexico should start by imposing tendinous fines to those found in the crime of illegal immigration and the money that is collected should be used to fulfil efficient security at the border. When this is done, those planning to do so will be discouraged because they will obviously not be able to pay and the only option they will have are to use genuine means to gain entry to the United States. We should not always assume that is cheap but rather have this in mind that it is a source of problems that are very unpleasant to the economy. Most immigrants in Mexico come over illegally or from other countries in search for jobs in the United States and they prefer the low pay in the United States than a relatively well paying job in their country of origin like Mexico (Seltser, et al 1998).Conclusio n The process of staffing constitutes recruitment and selection of the best qualified personnel with the use of the best ethics in acquisition of employees. This is usually done by global human resource managers or recruitment agencies on behalf of companies or individuals and it is their duty to ensure that the best recruitment procedures are followed so as to obtain the qualified personnel (Scullion Collings, 2006). However, illegal immigration has brought in a lot of problems that affect the quality of the recruitment procedures. As it has been seen in this research, illegal immigration may affect the process of staffing in several ways chief among them, shortage of labor in the country of origin, increase in crime that lead to lowered self esteem of the workers, and distortion of the law of demand and supply. In addition to this there is a further use of public facilities like hospitals and schools in excess of what they may be able to do so. This results in influencing the atti tude of workers towards work.It has also been reported that there is increased crime, smuggling of goods and drug trafficking between the border of Mexico and the United States (Lee, 1996). It is however important to not that that illegal immigration has some positive effects and this may include the provision of cheap labor to companies and individuals by lowering the operational cost thus enhancing the market revenue. The laborers also provide ready market for the very local goods that may have otherwise have been wasted and this will influence labor supply in one way or the other.Anything that influences labor supply also influences how and when the recruitment and selection process is carried out (Brings, 1984). Furthermore, it determines how best the ethics have been executed since the greater the degree of ethics that been followed the better the staffing procedures and one is sure to get the best qualified employee out of the others. It is apparently clear that the past histo ry of illegal immigration has been pronounced and has affected the process of economic growth in one way or the other in the United States and Mexico. The effects extend up to affecting the quality of labor in the market and unequal economic growth between the two countries. It is necessary therefore for the leaders of the nations affected to put up measures that will end up this vice once and for all. Illegal immigration is also rampant in Europe evidenced by the number of ships originating from Africa but are regularly arrested though some are unfortunately drowned in the event that they meet strong waves and tides of the sea. This problem can be solved by ensuring that the mother nations have improved economy so that its citizens may not see the need to immigrate to other well developed countries (Seltser, et al 1998). indications Adler, L. Gender and Social Norms Essay Example for Free

Gender and affectionate Norms EssayIn todays parliamentary law social norms have huge effects on pargonntal decisions. Some would say that shaping a childs life around these norms capability be what is compulsory in order for atomic number 53 to have a successful life. Majority of individuals move to migrate towards others who are like them. With this being said, if you arent increase how the bonnie person is, you bequeath non have a group to migrate to and will never develop relationships that can benefit your future. My appraise consisted of three questions, which were answered anonymously by ten different individuals. The first two questions were to find out what my musicians sexes were and what their current marital status was. My final question was, Do you feel boys from the ages four to sevener should be provided with Barbie Toys if asked for them? The statistics I authentic were quite diverse.Being accepted in todays society is the key factor when developing early relationships, which will impact your future. As it is one has to face cumulation of other obstacles such as being discriminated against due to their individual sex, race, culture or religion. If you arent increase around the norms society has developed then that is one more obstacle you must face when pass through life. Sociological imagination is stated to be forces of society that control our personal experiences. I rely that this hits the direct point I am making when I say that in that location are forces orthogonal of what ones parents confide in that influence the way someone is raised. Parents want their children to have the average childhood and be accepted by everyone. The tho way one can accomplish this is to base of operations the decisions made for their child around the social norms. For boys, they should only play with action figures and should varyicipate in athletics. Females should only play with Barbies and should be put in classes such as ballet. It is out of what society accepts if ones child does participate in everything that the opposite sex should be doing. This may lead to harassment of many sorts and keep one from advancing and becoming successful. On the other hand, if someone partakes in something their gender is cognize for, this may lead to extra opportunities. I am stating that if someone of a specific sex has been raised the way the rest of that society has been, it will broaden their perils to migrate towards others due to a higher chance of commonalities.I found out that sex did not play much of a part when determine what people thought near my topic. Majority of the males did answer no when asked if boys should be dispense withed to play with Barbies. Females also leaned towards that end. cardinal percent of them said they would not allow a boy to play with a Barbie if they asked for it. While tallying the statistics I noticed that every person who was currently in a relationship said they would not allo w it. I feel they answered it no because they may have already spoken with their significant others about peradventure having children, and they wouldnt want their child to be an outcast. I would bet that they have not spoken about this specific topic in general therefore they would keep aware from such topics to avoid any disagreements with their partner. They may believe in two different sides, but choose to stick to what society accepts. I also saw that the few who answered yes were either single or divorced. I think these individuals are at a point where they know they are free to have their own beliefs and will exercise them because there is no one they have to persuade, other than themselves. A single parent may stick to what they believe in when raising their child, or they may resort to what society accepts. The only person I received a survey from who was married chose not to buy such toys for young boys. She actually chose to express wherefore she felt this way. She said t hat her and her husband are expecting a child shortly and have been open with one another about these sorts of scenarios. She stated that they refuse to force their child (ren) to live in this invisible acceptation bubble that society has come to. They feel everyone should be raised differently so the world will be as diverse as possible. She expressed that she does not want to be a part of raising someone who is exactly like the next child. She described it as society losing its color. Everything will concisely be black in white if we keep allowing these invisible rules to take over what should be our decisions. decree has developed norms that many people feel forced to go buy in order to discover acceptance. Although they may not agree with what the majority does, they refuse to be a part of an outcast group. I understand why people would take part in such actions. I believe it is because they are afraid to be different and not accepted by most, which can lead to lack of relati onships, needed to be considered normal. The survey I conducted showed what ten random people thought when asked if they would allow and/or release a boy from the ages four to seven with a Barbie if asked. Majority responded no, which I feel was because it has been declared impairment in our society.SurveyYou are being asked to complete this survey on family issues for a paper I am writing for my FCS 340 class. All answers will remain confidential and anonymous.
